Gangs Of Rome ‘Body Electric’ (Heads Down)

As some of you may know, I’m one of the two guys behind the Untracked Recordings label, the erstwhile home to Frank Booker, Red Rack’em and my outfit Atlantic Conveyor (amongst others). Well, due to the success of this blog, it’s podcasts and it’s interviews, I’ve decided to go it alone and start my own Heads Down record label. I’ve met so many awesomely talented peeps through Heads Down that I thought “to hell with it, let’s do this!”.

So here it is, the first release on my label. Gangs Of Rome is a brand new band, full of analog love and serious production finesse. I’m so sick of edits right now, so hearing the finished version of this made my heart soar! This is a sample of the first track off their debut 12″ (I’ll post the flip soon); check it out as I’m only doing 250 hand-numbered copies and that’s that. I’ll be selling them through the blog as well as your usual vinyl emporiums in VERY limited numbers…

By the way, loads of people have been asking who did the amazing logo. It’s none other than the legendary designer Dave Little, he of Boy’s Own, S-Express, Bomb The Bass (the list is endless) fame. Pretty flash eh?
