Africa Hitech Interview

Africa Hitech is the Warp-signed digital congo natty project helmed by Messieurs Steve Spacek and Mark Pritchard. Although this particular project might seem a bit, I don’t know, YOUNG-sounding for many Heads Down readers (yeah I said it) the histories, stories of working with J Dilla and tech-talk will almost certainly be of interest.

We talk a lot about the circumstances surrounding Spacek’s incredible ‘Curvatia‘ album (2000’s defining record for me), how they positively embrace modern technology in the making of new material (iPad and iPhone apps especially) and the joys of working with Warp Records. Once again it’s a pretty deep Basement Sessions interview, but if you’re as deeply into underground music as I think you lot are it might be right on the money. Let me know what you think (gulp!).
