It’s been a good while since I’ve had my head turned by a rock record, but I’m totally seduced by this stone-cold badboy: ‘The Fool‘ by Warpaint.
The four-piece from oh-so-hot-right-now Silverlake are creators of druggy, woozily psychedelic records about longing, isolation and possessiveness (amongst other things). Andrew Weatherall‘s one of the producers behind the boards on this album, and his influence hangs smokily in the air. In my opinion, it’s a magnificent, achingly gorgeous theme to a unwritten David Lynch opus.
