Leo Zero’s Disconnect Competition

I have a couple of copies of Leo Zero’s seriously awesome Disconnect compilation to give away here at Heads Down. Leo Zero (check my interview with Leo here) is always welcome here at Heads Down towers, and this compilation is a very good indication as to why.

His ‘Disconnect’ mix for Strut is a masterclass in subversive dancefloor eclecticism: Afro, disco, reggae, punk, the sound of Factory Records and pioneers like Can, Brian Eno and John Cale are all present and correct. There’s some stone cold bombs ahoy too, Basement 5’s proto punk-reggae bomb ‘Silicon Chip’ (a previously unreleased extended edit from the original tapes), the epic extended version of Propaganda’s ‘Frozen Faces’ and the Afro-punk throwdowns from Unknown Cases and Indambinigi are totally redick, darlink. All you have to do to win yourself a copy of the comp is answer me this: Which highly acclaimed cosmic Balearic band was Leo an original member of?
