Red Rack’em Interview (Part 1)

Last weekend I nervously travelled to Nottingham to DJ at a secret party thrown by Red Rack’em, he of the Smuggler’s Inn Radio Show and eclectic releases on Untracked, Tirk and Deep Freeze. The party started at 2am and finished at 7am; the well-up-for-it partygoers consisted of the kind of freaks that DJ’s dream of playing to, while locked away in their bedrooms, learning their chops.

While I was there, I cornered Red Rack’em (aka Hot Coins aka Marlinspike aka Daniel Berman) and demanded that he spill the tofu on what’s coming up, his influences and how he’d managed such a stellar year.

Luckily for me, Daniel’s not the shyest dude in the world and happily gave me the low-down on the underground… Check it out (it’s a two part odyssey).
